ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Dr. Abdallah Talafha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2014, specializing in stochastic analysis and partial differential equations. Dr. Talafha has held various faculty and administrative roles at institutions across the United States. His research, published in leading peer-reviewed journals, explores advanced topics such as stochastic differential equations, wave dynamics, and nonlinear systems. In addition to his scholarly work, he has developed and coordinated mathematics programs, supervised graduate theses, and contributed to federally funded research projects, demonstrating a commitment to advancing both mathematical knowledge and student success.
Dr. Yazan Alnsour is an Assistant Professor in the MIS Department at the College of Business Administration, specializing in Information Systems, Data Analytics, and the Business Applications of Artificial Intelligence. After completing his Ph.D. at the University of Colorado, he served as a full-time faculty member at several higher education institutions in the United States. His teaching portfolio spans both undergraduate and graduate levels, focusing on Python programming, big data, business analytics, and other emerging digital technologies. Dr. Alnsour is deeply passionate about integrating cutting-edge technologies into teaching and research to enhance learning and drive innovation.
Dr. Samer Al-Imamy is an Assistant Professor in the MIS Department at the College of Business Administration (COBA), Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). He earned his Ph.D. in Cybernetics from the University of Reading, United Kingdom, specializing in image processing and pattern recognition. With extensive academic and industry experience across the UK, New Zealand, the UAE, Oman, Yemen, and Iraq, he has served as Department Chair for Computer Science, MIS, and IT in several countries, contributing significantly to curriculum development, accreditation, faculty mentoring, and student advising. His research focuses on AI-supported learning, systems analysis and design, blockchain applications in education, and immersive technologies for teaching and learning. A passionate innovator in pedagogy, Dr. Al-Imamy has developed tools such as the Smart Book for teaching programming, automated attendance and advising systems, and YouTube-based learning modules that extend classroom learning. His current work advances AI-enhanced education, intelligent learning systems, and AR/VR-based instructional models that integrate technology and pedagogy to foster student engagement and success.
