The Norm Function for Commutative Z₂-Graded Rings: Recent Advances and New Directions In-Person
ABSTRACT
This seminar will explore the norm function in commutative Z₂-graded rings, a topic of growing significance in contemporary algebra. Building on research conducted in late 2024 in collaboration with my co-author, I will present new insights and ongoing investigations that reveal deeper structural properties of these algebraic objects. Although rooted in abstract mathematics, the concepts discussed may have broader implications and potential applications in fields such as physics and computer science.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Rashid Abu-Dawwas serves as a Full Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University. He brings extensive experience in teaching, research, and curriculum development at both undergraduate and graduate levels. R. Abu-Dawwas has made significant contributions to the field of algebra, with a particular focus on the theory of graded rings and graded modules. His research interests include generalizations of prime ideals and submodules, graded prime ideals and submodules, non-commutative graded rings, and Z₂-graded rings. He has authored more than 75 publications in peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings and is the author of a book dedicated to prime ideals and their generalizations.
